Overview
Outreach Strategists, a fast-paced PR agency with a proven track record of success, is seeking an experienced Communications Director with strong writing skills to provide our clients with communications leadership. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in developing and executing strategic communication plans, managing media relations, and crafting compelling content across various platforms to drive client success.
Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with their goals and objectives, enhancing brand reputation and increasing visibility.
- Oversee the creation and dissemination of engaging content for clients across diverse channels, including press releases, social media, blogs, newsletters, and other digital platforms.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure high-quality coverage and placements for clients.
- Provide communications counsel and guidance to clients, ensuring their messaging is consistent, compelling, and tailored to their target audiences.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of communication campaigns, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize future efforts and demonstrate ROI to clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop integrated PR and marketing campaigns that support clients’ objectives.
- Serve as a spokesperson for clients when necessary, confidently representing their interests in interviews, panel discussions, and other public events.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to ensure the agency and its clients remain at the forefront of public relations and communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role, preferably within a fast-paced agency setting.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies and campaigns for a diverse range of clients.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling content tailored to diverse audiences and platforms.
- Strong media relations expertise, with established connections in the industry.
- Experience in managing client relationships and expectations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and results.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Proficient in using social media management tools, analytics platforms, and other relevant software to optimize communication efforts.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
