Domestic Engagement - Local Law Enforcement
The challenge:
A host of scandals involving racist emails and hostile actions against minorities threatened the integrity of one of the largest sherrif's department in the country While the sherrif at the center of the controversy was defeated in his re-election effort, the new sheriff wants to repair the broken image of the department and to let outraged minority constituencies know that not only is there a new sheriff in town, but a new mindset as well.
Our role:
Outreach Strategists is working with local law enforcement to create a Community Outreach Board that will be comprised of ethnic constituencies from throughout the county. The goal is to not only repair the damage done by the outgoing sheriff, but to establish a positive relationship between the county and its diverse, ethnic population.
The results:
Our work here is on-going, but the very idea of this board is being widely applauded throughout the county as the communities that were offended by the outgoing sheriff can clearly see that our client is serious about changing the way his department does business.
